Ethics? What can anyone teach me about ethics, when even the noblest of us can be brought down by the actions of others?
We talk about duty versus the needs of the many. We talk about regard, and disregard of the consequences of our actions. We try to define the complexities of human nature so we can fit it all into neat little categories to make ourselves feel intelligent and enlightened, when the truth of the matter is we know nothing of how to handle ourselves and others.
We, as a species, are born inherently evil and must be taught to be good. The very few of us who are born good must learn the ways of being evil in order to combat and overcome the evil around us. There is no good in the human race. We are all sociopathic little demons, running around jabbing knives into each others' backs.
Show someone nothing but kindness and love, and they will most assuredly build you up and take from you everything they can, only to tear it all out from underneath you at the height of it all... then tell you they do not want to hear you cry. They will tell you they still want to be friends and that you should not be mad at them. Do you kill them for their sins? The law says no, that's immoral. But what is the law? It is nothing more than the opinion of the few forced down the throats of the masses at gun point. It too, is a lie.
Destroying those who seek to destroy you is not evil, immoral, or even illegal by any means. It is the very definition of justice.
I once saw a picture... it had the caption, "All it takes is one bad day to reduce the sanest man alive to lunacy. That's how far the world is from where I am. Just one bad day.", and it is true. All it takes is one bad day... one bad action... to tear even the noblest of us to shreds. All our race does is use, lie, betray and tear each other apart. In one hundred, fifty thousand years of being on this planet, we have learned nothing. We are doomed to an eternity of destroying one another.
